EventStop make headlines with national multimedia group

The Project

Johnston Press is a national multimedia company based across the UK whose flagship titles include national newspaper the i, The Scotsman and The Yorkshire Post. Johnston Press publications have a combined readership of more than 32 million people nationally each month.

The company hold more than 50 events every year, with each one accommodating several hundred guests.

Due to the time-consuming nature of organising this volume of events, the company sought assistance in simplifying the booking process and keeping track of attendees needs and requirements.

The Solution

Prior to asking EventStop to support them in staging events, the Events & Exhibitions team were responsible for everything from taking bookings over the phone to managing attendees’ dietary requirements. Team Coordinator, Lizzy, needed a system that could help manage complex and varied attendee requirements, whilst also allowing for simple and easy registration.

Johnston Press initially brought EventStop in to manage the 2017 Wakefield Business Awards, before expanding to use the system for over 50 of its events across the country.
